Animals Are Our Mission
- Arf-Anage Dog Rescue is a foster based non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs, with a specific focus on mothers and their puppies. Our mission is summarized by the motto "No Mom Left Behind," and we specialize in helping animals from local shelters and the Navajo reservation.
Core Services
- Adoption: We provide full adoption services, which include vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and microchipping for all dogs.
- Specialization: We focus on "Mama dogs" and their litters, as well as owner-surrendered puppies and accidental litters when fosters are available.
- Community Support: We offer assistance in finding affordable spay and neuter services for pet owners and education on the importance of altering pets.
- Fostering Opportunities: Fosters are the heart of our organization. We rely on our amazing fosters to get our dogs ready to become part of their forever family.
- Trial Period: Our rescue offers an 80% refund on adoption fees if an adoption does not work out within the first 5 days.
- Pets for Vets Program that offers discounts as well as waived fees for specific dogs.
- First Responders Program that offers discounts on adoption fees.

Adoption Information
All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccines, rabies, and microchip.
- Puppies 8 weeks to 6 months start at $500
- Puppies 6 months to 1 year start at $400
- 1 year to 3 years start at $300
- 3 years and up start at $200
- Ranch dogs have special pricing!
There are instances where dogs / puppies may be more or less depending on the circumstances.
Adopters Who are Leasing or Renting
If you are currently renting or leasing your home, you will need to provide a written consent from your landlord to adopt a dog. It should list any size or breed restrictions.
For those living in an apartment or condo, please note that not all dogs are going to be happy living in that setting. Our volunteers will help guide you to dogs/puppies that may be a good candidate for you based on your needs.

Fosters are the heart of our organization. We rely on our amazing fosters to get our dogs ready to become part of their forever family.
What supplies do I need
We provide the food, medicine, puppy pads, and crate if needed. All you need to provide is time, attention, and love.
How do I become a foster
Complete the foster contract. Follow the Facebook page for information on dogs are looking for a foster.
Surrenders
We understand how difficult a surrender situation can be and we truly appreciate your efforts to find a safe and loving outcome for your dog.
As a foster based rescue, Arf-Anage does not have a central facility and can only intake dogs when there are available foster homes.
In most cases, the best we can do is put you on a waiting list while a suitable foster is found or you may consider fostering your surrender for us.
